Asia Divers, where Koh Tao IDC conducts it’s IDC and Divemaster training, is a PADI 5-Star Dive Resort, which means that all of our courses, including the Divemaster course, are run strictly to the specifications set by PADI. The divemaster course at Koh Tao IDC focuses not only on increasing your diving theory, but also on sharpening your in-water skills and general capabilities as a diver. Furthermore, in addition to classroom or swimming pool based lessons and practical sessions, you will also gain valuable hands-on experience by assisting our team of experienced Instructors on Open Water, Advanced Open Water and Rescue courses.
To qualify as a Divemaster you must:
There is a great social atmosphere during the course as there is never a shortage of Divemaster trainees. You will find that no matter who you are or what your background is, you will always find plenty of like-minded fellow divers among us – whether it’s new students, fun divers, Instructors or your Divemaster trainee buddies.
To begin the Divemaster course you must:
If you’re short on time, the ‘quick’ version of the Divemaster course on Koh Tao can be completed in as little as 2 weeks! Therefore you need to start the course as a Rescue Diver and with enough logged dives.
However, if you have time on your hands, you may want to choose the Divemaster internship option, which will maximize your training experience – making you a more skilled (and more marketable) PADI Divemaster. Choosing this option allows you all the time you need – whether it’s six weeks or six months. You are also entitled to dive as much as you like during the program – at no extra cost!
