IDC Preparation
As with most PADI diving programs, the instructor development course (IDC), also incorporates the home study philosophy. A bit of independent study prior to starting the IDC will put you ahead of the game right away, so that the course itself becomes a way of reinforcing existing knowledge and consolidating it with practical exercises. Since you are already a divemaster by the time you enroll in to the diving instructor training, you will be familiar with most of the course contents. Of course, being prepared will also allow you more free time during the IDC, to experience the unique way of life on Koh Tao!
IE Requirements
Prior to taking the Instructor Exam (IE), you will need to:
* Of course there isn’t much time during the IDC to log any dives, so we suggest you have your prerequisite 100 dives before you the start of the IDC.
